Bohemian Grove

The Bohemian Club's all-male membership includes artists, particularly musicians, as well as many prominent business leaders, government officials (including many former U.S. presidents), senior media executives, and people of power. Members may invite guests to the Grove although those guests are subject to a screening procedure. A guest's first glimpse of the Grove typically is during the "Spring Jinks" in June, preceding the main July encampment. Bohemian club members can schedule private day-use events at the Grove any time it is not being used for Club-wide purposes, and are allowed at these times to bring spouses, family and friends, though female and minor guests must be off the property by 9 or 10 p.m.

Benjamin Millepied

Natalie Portman is reportedly a new mom!

The Oscar winner and fiancé Benjamin Millepied have welcomed a baby boy, according to People.

Gossip Cop is trying to confirm the news.
Natalie Portman shocked fans in late December when her rep announced that the future Oscar winner was engaged -- and pregnant!
This will be the first child for Portman, who turns 30 Thursday, and French-born choreographer Benjamin Millepied, 33. "One of the most exciting things about being pregnant is that I'm accepting the complete unknown. It's a complete mystery and miracle," Portman told reporters after winning the Best Actress trophy at the Academy Awards. "It's really just accepting that I have no idea, which is what all of us live every day."

Pakistan arrests CIA moles in Osama raid: US media‎

The Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) has arrested some of the Pakistani informants who fed information to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) leading to Al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden’s compound in Abbottabad, claims the US media quoting officials.

Five CIA informants, including a Pakistani Army major, have been arrested, report The New York Times. The major is said to be monitoring cars visiting Bin Laden’s compound in weeks before the US operation.

The latest move came at a time when both the countries were trying to mend their battered relations and the Obama administration claimed it was seeking Islamabad’s support in brokering an end to war in Afghanistan.

Hawthorne Season 3

Hawthorne series is back with 3rd season with an episode title of “For Better or Worse” which return date is June 14, 2011 Tuesday night on TNT. The said TV show features the stars Jada Pinkett Smith, Michael Vartan, David Julian Hirsh, Suleka Mathew, Christina Moore, Hannah Hodson, Vanessa Lengies and Marc Anthony.

The population of Richmond, Va., is 50 percent black. It stands to reason that a single black woman living in said city, or even starring in a television show set in said city, might find herself involved with a black man, at least on occasion. Not that she has to, but it just seems plausible. No one bothered to mention that to Jada Pinkett Smith.

Guadalupe

A passionate dispute over an old pink building on the near West Side might be settled by the City Council this week.

Plans to demolish the Maldonado Building at 1312 Guadalupe St. have created a classic preservation-vs.-progress problem.

In March, the city's Historic and Design Review Commission decided in a 5-3 vote to begin the process to designate the property historic because of its cultural significance.

Built in the early 1920s and later altered and expanded, the building has served many functions as a traditional family-owned business with living quarters in the rear, and is said to have been a hub of early political activity in the Hispanic community in the mid-1900s.

Amityville Horror Book and Movie

Osuna is the author behind the Amityville expose The Night the DeFeos Died.On November 13, 1974, police discovered six members of the DeFeo family -- father, mother and four of their five children -- shot and killed execution style at 112 Ocean Avenue in Amityville, New York. By 1977, the DeFeo home would be the center of a haunted house story that experts labeled a hoax.Although 30 years have passed, the allure of the Amityville house with its eye-like windows has yet to diminish. Amidst the stories of demonic pigs and ghostly apparitions, the real horror story remained a mystery...until now. Read what the experts are saying about The Night the DeFeos Died: "As compelling as Truman Capote In Cold Blood," says Jordan Rich of WBZ Radio Boston. Are you INTERESTED IN AMITYVILLE? "The Night the DeFeos Died, is, in my opinion, the most factual work ever published on the incident and everything that took place after that horrific evening," says Doug Spero, Emmy award-winning journalist with NBC and CBS who covered the DeFeo murders and the hoax.

"I have now finished The Night The DeFeo's Died and, I'll be damned, but it has to take its place among the finest half dozen studies of murderers ever published in the United States. Well done, Ric Osuna," says renowned criminologist Christopher Berry-Dee.
